Dasa is one of the largest healthcare networks in Brazil, providing medical and diagnostic services. This project aimed to optimize the medical records used by psychologists by removing irrelevant fields, tailoring features to meet the specific needs of professionals, and simplifying navigation and data entry during consultations.
The project introduced a more streamlined and personalized experience for psychologists, incorporating features like an automatic session counter, specific fields to document patient progress and symptoms, and automated assessment scales. These enhancements were designed to ease daily tasks for professionals, reducing the time spent on administrative duties and allowing them to focus entirely on patient care.
The project was driven by interviews with 7 psychologists and concept testing with 5, along with research into the specific demands of the field. In collaboration with a UX Researcher and Product Management, key areas for customization were identified, such as essential fields and process automation, resulting in a solution tailored to the needs of Dasa’s psychologists.
Impact
- Creation of two types of progress sheets: One for the initial consultation (reception) and another for subsequent consultations (follow-up), providing greater organization and ease in the patient care journey.
- Implementation of an automatic session counter, improving treatment control and ensuring compliance with protocols.
- Personalized fields, such as initial complaint and progress, facilitating the documentation and tracking of patient progress.
- Automation of evaluation scales (PHQ-9 and GAD-7), providing greater agility in using essential tools for patient care.
- Reminder system and automated workflows, including session extension requests, resulting in increased data standardization and managerial control.
Learnings
- The validation of the personalization concept was only applied to psychologists. There is a need to expand this validation to other healthcare professionals to assess its applicability across various specialties.
Business Gains
✨ Reminder system linked to session counter: Ensures that psychologists apply scales and request session extensions at the right time, aligning with program protocols.
✨ Automated session extension request flow: Reduces response time (SLA) and effort for both the psychology team and users, promoting a more efficient experience.
✨ Automation of evaluative scales: Unifies and standardizes data collection, simplifying management and analysis of results.
✨ Treatment closure flow: Provides greater visibility and control for management, allowing for more detailed supervision of treatment progress and completion.
✨ Treatment logic: Enhances control over the care cycle, optimizing process management and providing a clearer view of patient progress.
